About Consort

Redefining the Rollover Experience for Millions of Participants

Consort was founded to transform one of the most overlooked — and most impactful — moments in a participant’s financial life: consolidating and rolling over their retirement assets. We are building the modern infrastructure that unifies participant accounts, reduces plan leakage, and brings clarity to a process that has long been defined by confusion.

Our Purpose

Consort’s mission is to make the rollover experience pleasant, intuitive, and transparent — while giving participants a deeper understanding of their retirement assets, the benefits of fiduciary oversight, and the institutional pricing they stand to gain by staying engaged.

We aim to establish the industry standard for rollovers without asking the industry to rebuild itself. Providers, advisors, TPAs, and enterprise institutions can adopt Consort without re-architecting their technology — and participants benefit from a modern, guided experience that simplifies every step.

The Problem We're Solving

Each year, millions of participants change jobs, and most leave their retirement accounts behind. Rolling over assets should be simple — but historically, it hasn’t been.

Participants face:

  • Inconsistent provider instructions

  • Long call-center queues

  • Paperwork confusion

  • A lack of clear direction at critical moments

This broken experience has contributed to large-scale leakage in the defined contribution industry, weakening long-term retirement outcomes across the U.S.

Consort solves this problem with a scalable, enterprise-first approach that brings clarity, structure, and modern experience design to the rollover process.

Our Vision

We envision a future where abandoned retirement assets become a thing of the past.

Consort’s long-term vision is to:

  • Dramatically reduce the volume of unclaimed and orphaned retirement accounts

  • Establish a rollover standard at the moment of enrollment

  • Enable participants to consolidate their assets with ease

  • Provide institutions with a white-labeled platform that strengthens their participant relationships

Disruption without disorder is at the heart of Consort’s philosophy — transforming the participant experience while removing burden from the entire retirement ecosystem.

Founding Story

Transforming your retirement plan rollover experience.

Consort was founded in 2024 with a singular insight: the retirement industry needed a scalable solution to consolidate abandoned assets and standardize rollovers at enrollment.

The rollover experience had gone largely unchanged for decades — creating poor outcomes for participants and unnecessary burden for institutions.  Consort was created to solve this system-wide problem with a modern, enterprise-ready approach grounded in decades of industry experience.
